Greene County district court, week ending Sept. 11

In Greene County district court Weston James Brammer, 22, of Des Moines was sentenced Sept. 11 to six days in jail after he pleaded guilty to a charge of domestic abuse assault- simple, amended from domestic abuse assault impeding air/blood flow. He was given credit for time served. Brammer was fined $65 with a $9.75 surcharge. He must pay up to $600 restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees. Court costs were $60.

Luke Elwin Molle, 21, of Coon Rapids was sentenced Sept. 11 to one year in jail after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of operating while intoxicated- first offense. All but two days of the jail time was suspended and he was placed on probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for one year. He must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended treatment at his own expense. He must complete a community college drinking drivers school. He may complete the Des Moines Area Community College 48-hour alcohol education program in lieu of two days of the jail time. Molle was fined $1,250 with a $187.50 surcharge; one-half will be waived if he obtains a temporary restricted license. Court costs were $100. (Sentencing: McCarville)

Megan Janea Tingwald, 46, of Perry was sentenced to one year in jail after she pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of methamphetamine- second offense, amended from possession of methamphetamine- third or subsequent offense. All but seven days of the jail time was suspended and she was placed on probation to Boone/Greene County probation for one year. She must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended treatment at her own expense. She was fined $625 with a $97.75 surcharge. Court costs were $330.68. Persons pleaded not guilty at arraignment as follows: Jody Lyn Schad, 45, of Jefferson, driving while license barred; Alejandro Perez Lazaro, 28, of Madrid, OWI- first offense; Jennifer Marie Ashby, 47, of Jefferson, harassment- first degree, trespass causing injury or damage more than $500, and criminal mischief- fourth degree; Juan Angel Guzman, 33, of Jefferson, forgery (six counts) and ongoing criminal conduct; Trevor Michael Baugh, 35, of Jefferson, domestic abuse assault causing injury or mental illness, assault while display dangerous weapon, harassment- second degree, and carrying weapons; Jaime Coronado, 41, of Jefferson, OWI- first offense; and MarleneEleanor. Anderson, 50, of Jefferson, driving while license barred. Trial dates were set for Nov. 3 for all defendants except Schad and Guzman. Their trial dates are set for Dec. 8.

Cases were initiated in district court during the week ending Sept. 11 as follows: Jill Elizabeth Zito, 60, of Jefferson, forgery; Michael Lee Eastman, 46, of Jefferson, possession of methamphetamine- third or subsequent offense, possession of marijuana- third or subsequent offense, and driving while license barred; and Jessica Lea Duong, 28, of Jefferson, assault on persons in certain occupations.
